Chapter 7

Chapter seven was all about one of my favorite things, the internet. Throughout most of my life, I have had access to technology and the internet and just took for granted that both things would work. Before reading this chapter, I suppose that I never really thought about what exactly the internet is. The book said that the internet is "made up of millions of individual machines and networks that have agreed to connect, provide resources to each other, and share data." To me, this is kind of like a bunch of people in a group working on a research paper. Everyone agrees to get along and share what they come across.

The rest of this chapter was about the different ways an individual can receive the internet such as DSLs and Cable Modems.
