Chapter 7

Chapter 7 is all about the internet and the world wide web. It talks about modems. How you can connect through satellite equipment, external modem, and a DSL modem. It talks about internet based communications like e-mail, chat rooms. It tells you how to understand e-mails. Also using e-mail in teaching and learning. Like for assignments, class discussions, communication student to student, or teacher to student. It discusses mailing list, and a FTP. Which is a File Transfer protocol a method used for transferring files. It talks about creating and evaluating websites. Reading this chapter was basically a review for me. I know how to e-mail. and communicate through e-mail. I understand and have created a website before and went through a evaluation on a website. So while reading this chapter it basically was a review for me, about the internet and using e-mail for communication and transferring files.
